From Marconi Square in Muggia the route climbs to the village of Santa Barbara. Trail 1 goes towards Rabuiese and Vignano woods, later crossing the valley of the Ospo stream. The trail climbs again to Caresana then on to San Dorligo della Valle and the Premuda hut is not much further (text source from Via Alpina official page).
